iTypeFastR now compatible with firmware 3.1, version 1.1.4 now in Cydia

The 1.1.4 version just went live which is 3.1 compatible. Just go into Cydia, and you will be prompted to upgrade.

You can also find it in Cydia by going to Keyboards, or on the BigBoss repository

1.1.3 not compatible with 3.1 firmware, new version almost ready

The current 1.1.3 version does not work with firmware 3.1, but we are testing 1.1.4 today (October 4th) which will work with the 3.1 firmware.

Expect the new version in Cydia this week, you will be prompted to upgrade if you launch Cydia. This new version will fix it.

We’re getting a lot of new publicity now that the 3.0 compatible version of iTypeFastR is out. And appleiphoneschool.com, one of the leading blogs that HAD NOT written about us yet, but now they did!!!

The news that iTypeFastR is now 3.0 compatible app made it to iClarified. Which to me is one of THE iPhone resources, so I am pretty stoked about that!

The software is out! Only upgrade to 1.2.1 if you are on OS3.

Changes we made:

- Keys:
- We removed some of the smileys on the numeric screen, to be able to make the ’spacebar’ bigger again, after your requests

- We improved a lot in the landscape keyboard, which we expect will be used more in the OS3. LEt us know what you think!

- Graphics:
- We polished the graphics a bit

Sorry to have kept you waiting for so long, but we are very close to releasing version 1.2, for iPhone OS 3. The developers are replacing some images (small design changes) and repackaging the files, and then they are off to TheBigBoss for his final testing.If all goes well, this should mean the new version goes live today or tomorrow.

The waiting is almost over!

Bad bad bad news. The disk with the development environment has crashed and we need to repair this which will take time. Count at least a week.

It’s taking a bit longer than expected, because ‘under the hood’ the whole keyboard is different. But the framework is ready, another keyboard (iAcces) is out that runs on it, so it’s well under way!
